Cruise Ship Chair Collection
Married outside, near Carbon Glacier at the base of Mt Rainier; Ipsut Creek.
One of nature’s most beautiful cathedrals.
Did I mention that The Secret Wedding from Braveheart, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, was playing nearby from an iPod, with portable speakers, on a stump? Perfect! And gee my face looks chubby there. What the heck? ;0)Project Renovate. Lots of cleaning and refinishing of garage sale and Craigslist furniture.
Our other Home Sweet Home; our little cabin in the woods. The white door replaced with a window, the deck stained, the front door painted green to match the roof.
It’s gettin’ there.
Shame on me…I bought a little cabin in the woods and haven’t posted on Tumblr since…whoa, last February?!
I’ll take care of that right now!
Love it.
Hate it.
The Cosmopolitan: Fabulous to look at it. Room service/Housekeeping is lousy but maybe they’ll get the kinks worked out. Remember, they’ve only been open since December 2010. Last time I was on their website they still had job openings for $10-$55 per hour positions. Warning; want to use your mixologist skills working one of the bars? Better be very attractive, very sexy, and very young. I have a 50 yr old friend who was denied despite that she’s attractive, sexy, and good at her job.
The prostitution; I found it oppressive. I kept thinking about Annie Lobert who had worked as a prostitute for 11 years, making as much as $500 an hour. She said she hit rock bottom when she overdosed on cocaine and everything went black. You can read her story here and how she got out.
I’m back home now. I like the simplicity of my own bathrobe, cooking pancakes for the family, and genuine hugs and kisses from my loved ones. Don’t get me wrong; the traveling has been great but it does make me appreciate home.
Navigate the Las Vegas Strip with the help of these monorails that run between Sahara and the MGM Grand, Bellagio and Monte Carlo (with a stop at Crystals),Treasure Island and the Mirage, and Excalibur and Mandalay Bay.
This tram runs between 3 of the hotel/casinos; Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and the Excalibur and is approximately a seven minute ride.
Ladies beware! More than woman, who thought she’d walk with her friends down the strip to the next casino in her four inch heels, told me that she had no idea how the layout of the sidewalks would turn a short distance into a long one. Feet that felt good at the outset turn into stumps of agony and blisters!
For instance, your path from the Cosmopolitan to the Luxor can involve 4 sky bridges, 3 casinos, and 1 tram ride. What should be a 10-15 minute walk will turn out to be double that or more, especially if you get lost in one of the casino mazes. You are forced through some of the casinos to get back out to the street.
Good luck! As for me, I wish I had remembered to take my Nike Airs. I might not have looked Vegas sexy but ask me if I care.
Water Fountain at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas set to Time to Say Goodbye by Sarah Brightman & Andrea Bocelli.
I did not add music to this video. This is how you hear it when standing there.
